Requirements when you are new to real estate
First 60 Days
Realtor Essentials (4 Core CE Hours) - You must attend this course live. Go to www.slrealtors.com for the next course time.
Code of Ethics - I’d suggest not paying for the CE hours and take the free version at www.realtor.org as the other required courses will put you above the 18 required hours when you are ready to renew your license. You must complete this training before you will have access to the Supra keybox key.
Before your first renewal
New Agent Course (12 Core CE Hour) - This course is designed for a newer agent but not brand new so I would suggest doing this sometime between 6-12 months after becoming licensed. You can take this course live or online.
Mandatory Residential Course (3 Core CE Hours). You can take this course live or online.

Requirements for the FIRST license renewal
The new legislation requires fingerprinting through RAP Back. Go to https://realestate.utah.gov/rapback.html to get started. This can only be done within 45 days of your license renewal. Don’t procrastinate with this step. I strongly encourage you to do this at least three weeks before the license expiration deadline! The cost is $45.
After receiving the fingerprint verification you can now finish the renewal process.
You will go to:
https://realestate.utah.gov/realestate
Select “RELMS Login”
Put in your Username & Password
Select Renew
Answer the Questions
Pay the renewal fee: $60/Agent or $66/Broker
Push Submit
Having the Rap Back fingerprints and required hours is not enough for renewal. You must pay for the renewal and submit it for it to be official.

Requirements for the ALL ADDITIONAL license renewals
A total of 18 CE Hours including:
The “Mandatory Residential Course” (3 Core CE Hours). You can take this course live or online.
Six additional Core CE Hours
Nine additional CE hours (core or non-core)
The National Association of Realtors requires you to take the “Code of Ethics” course every 3 years. You can take a free version at www.realtor.org but won’t get any CE credit or you can take the paid version for the credit. My suggestion is to take the code of ethics course and get the CE credit every renewal cycle, but it’s up to you.
Do the steps listed above for “First Renewal”.
