State law states "A closing gift is permissible and is not an illegal sharing of commissions." R162-2f-401l(2)

A "Closing gift" means any gift given by a principal broker, or a licensee affiliated with the principal broker, to a buyer or seller, lessor or lessee, in appreciation for having used the services of a real estate brokerage. A closing gift is permissible and is not an illegal sharing of commissions.

In other words, a closing gift is never advertised, otherwise it would be an Inducement Gift, which rules are different. A closing gift is something you may provide to the client at the end of the transaction. There currently are no closing gift limits.
